Jacqueline Johnson first stepped onto a yoga mat in early 2000. Her love for the practice was intrinsic, her strength and flexibility were inherent, and (most importantly) her heart was touched. Jackie had found a place, her place, where the mind, body, and soul could connect organically.

While teaching high school English, Jackie found yoga was still a grounding force in her life. A few years on the mat and a few off, she always returned seeking more from each practice. Hopelessly devoted to yoga since 2012, Jackie completed the 200-RYT YogaWorks® Teacher Training Program through Dance Stop in June 2014.

As a teacher, Jackie has become the quintessential yogini muse. Her love of teaching and yoga intertwines through each vinyasa sequence. Classic in her technique, Jackie always has a watchful eye on her students, leads with an open heart, guides by the rhythm of the room, and fills each class with soulful melodies. For this eloquent Midwesterner is a firm believer that pairing proper music with life is the key.

When not practicing, she can be found inspiring her husband and three daughters through her organic garden, cooking lessons, love of literature, and pure, homegrown love. Jackie’s yogic beliefs are firmly steeped in knowing when to root down, lift your heart up, and raise your head to the sky, on and off the mat.
