Dance Stop Studios is pleased to announce new classes this month!
Kathy Shaul is adding a new Yoga class to her schedule! In addition to her Saturday morning class and her Wednesday evening Midweek Stress Buster Yoga, Kathy is also introducing "Come Unglued - Taking Care of You!" This self-care focused, body awareness class combines yoga and self-massage with Yoga Tune Up Therapy Balls to de-stress, erase pain, improve mobility and unstick stuck areas of the body. The sequences and techniques will show you how to find your body blind spots - areas of the body that are overused, underused or misused and are possible catalysts for pain and injury. This class will leave you feeling empowered, more balanced and living better in your body. (Weekly, Thursdays 9am-10am $15/class)
Jackie Johnson has also added Gentle Yoga which incorporates pranayama breathing techniques, deep stretching, light vinyasa work, foundational standing and balancing postures. Props are encouraged in this class to align the body while achieving each posture comfortably. This class will emphasize meditation and mindfulness through breath work, toning and strengthening through subtle flowing, and gentle stretching for all therapeutic benefits of yoga. All levels welcome! (Weekly, Thursdays 10am-11am $15/class)
