Heart

The Dance Stop Company dances with heart.  Love of dance drives them to work hard to excel in academics as well as in their performances. Dancers willing to devote so much of their time out of school - after school and on weekends - to hone their craft. These dancers give their all in classes and on the stage. Individuals who also give back to their community, by performing at local events. For example, the WellStar East Cobb Health Park Christmas Tree lighting, Phipps Community Day and Sounds of the Spirit series at Roswell Baptist Church. Enjoy DSC Seniors, Sarah Dagher and Carly Morgan perform their duet to "Heart Cry" by Drehz.

We Are Family

We are so blessed to have grown our Dance Stop family over the years. As we venture into our 43rd season (how grateful are we!!??!!  43 years!) we can't help but reflect on our family.

Year after year, our dancers graduate and move on to do wonderful things with their lives. Year after year, they come back to visit.  Our graduates come to say "Hi!", to say "Thank you!", to join in a class. Because they are home, they come to visit their "other" home.  The home they spent so much time in, nurturing their love for dance.  The long hours, the sweat, the tears, the joy.  Former dancers, Company and otherwise, bring their children back to Dance Stop to grow their dance roots, too.  It is so heartwarming to see multiple generations walk through our doors.  Grandparents bringing their grandchildren, knowing they are in good hands because they walked through these doors with their own children not so long ago.

Our students also grow up to be our teachers.  Ms. Lynette, Ms. Kathy and Ms. Melanie taught Ms. Julia, Ms. Lindsey, Ms. Michelle, Ms. Mychael and Mr. Ray.  Ms. Dena did not grow up at Dance Stop, but she took adult lessons with Ms. Kathy and as a result, her daughters are growing up Dance Stop and currently dance in the Dance Stop Company.  We are family.

This week's video is of two sisters. Family. Sidekicks. Enjoying the opportunity to perform a duet together before Madison goes off to college next year.  Join us in celebrating family while viewing Ansley and Madison Huff performing to "Stuck Like Glue" by Sugarland.
